Ayurvedic Cancer Treatment
Cancer is a disease characterized by an uncontrolled growth of various cells of the body. These affected cells could be at different stages of maturity. The growth is uncontrolled and rampant. This abnormal cell division forms a mass or tumor. These cells are known as cancer cells. They possess tendency to invade other body parts. It may spread and grow at other part of body.
Various techniques are employed to treat cancer including surgery, Radio and Chemotherapy. But these are either only for reducing the immediate complications for slowing down the proliferation or basically aim at killing the cancerous cells. But these treatments are not 100% successful.
We follow holistic approach in our treatment. We suggest panchakarma for the treatment.
Panchakarma has five purification steps, Vamana, Virechana, Vasti, Nasya and Rakthamoksha. All the three doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) are balanced through these techniques and the possibility of recurrence is completely removed.
Ayurvedic Cancer Treatment Include:
- Detoxification: It implies internal cleaning of the entire body system through panchakarma therapies. The purification Procedure is termed as Shodhana Chikitsa. It is done in 3 ways. Internal Purification is the purification of visceral organs using internal medicines. External purification implies to the usage of external medicines like medicinal paste, specially formulated oils etc. Lastly is the purification of blood.
- Treatment: The treatment depends upon the stages of cancer, it will spread on the patients overall physical and mental conditions. The clinical history, the type of the treatment availed in past are also considered in determining the protocol of the treatment. Constant response to the patients response on the medicines and treatment & Pulse diagnosis is important. Treatment can be changed accordingly.
- Rejuvenation: Before the patient can discontinue the medicine and treatment, it is important to assess patient's condition and confirm that patient’s body is free from cancer cells. To lead a normal healthy life after the treatment, Rejuvenation of the body is necessary. This is the last phase of treatment known as Rasayana. Ayurvedic treatment is based on Rejuvenate the cells theory which works at genetic level. It basically believes that cancerous cell can rejuvenate into normal healthy cell.
And it is not necessary that these three phases are followed in case of every patient. The treatment is done based on the conditions of the patient.
